Operatives of the Violent Crimes Response Unit (VCRU), Abia State Command, led by CSP Emeka Amanchukwu, have arrested the man seen physically assaulting a woman in a viral video that circulated widely on social media.
The suspect was arrested today, June 20, around the Ogbor Hill area of Aba, following credible intelligence received by the unit. Acting swiftly on the information, operatives tracked down and apprehended him.
The suspect is currently in police custody as investigations continue. The VCRU has reiterated its commitment to ensuring that perpetrators of violent crimes are brought to justice.
