2027: Tinubu Committed to Safer Communities, Greater Nigeria – Remi Assures Voters

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has assured Nigerians that her husband remains committed to building safer communities and a greater Nigeria, urging voters to support the administration's continuity agenda ahead of the 2027 general elections.

She gave the assurance while addressing supporters and community leaders at an empowerment and mobilisation event, where she highlighted the strides recorded by the Tinubu-led administration since assuming office.

A Promise of Safer Communities

According to the First Lady, security remains the cornerstone of the President's vision, noting that no meaningful development can take place in an environment plagued by fear and instability.

She said the administration has continued to invest in the capacity of the armed forces, police, and other security agencies, and has strengthened coordination among them to tackle banditry, kidnapping, and other criminal activities.

She assured Nigerians that the gains recorded so far would be consolidated, adding that safer communities would translate into more productive farms, thriving businesses, and improved livelihoods.

Greater Nigeria Agenda

Speaking on the broader vision of the administration, Remi Tinubu said the President's Renewed Hope agenda was designed to reposition Nigeria for long-term prosperity.

She cited ongoing reforms in the economy, education, health, and social investment as evidence of a government willing to take difficult decisions in the national interest.

She urged women and youth in particular to key into the various empowerment programmes of the administration, describing them as deliberate tools for reducing poverty and expanding opportunity.

Appeal to Voters

The First Lady appealed to voters not to be swayed by what she described as misleading narratives from opposition elements, insisting that the administration had laid a solid foundation for the future.

She called on Nigerians to reward the President with their support in 2027 so that the work already begun would not be abandoned.

Reactions

Community leaders and beneficiaries at the event commended the First Lady for her continued advocacy on behalf of women, children, and vulnerable groups.

They pledged their support for the administration's continuity agenda, saying the empowerment initiatives had made a tangible difference in their lives.

Political Context

The event is part of a broader push by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to shore up support ahead of the 2027 elections, amid a crowded field of contenders and intensifying political realignments across the country.

Analysts note that the First Lady's engagements are increasingly being deployed as a mobilisation tool, particularly among women's groups and grassroots communities seen as critical voting blocs.
