Abia State has launched Nigeria's first Manufacturing Technology University Innovation Pod (Manu-Tech UniPod), a landmark project set to boost innovation and industrial development in the region.
The initiative, established by the Clintonel Innovation Centre (CIC), represents a significant milestone in Nigeria's journey toward technological self-sufficiency and manufacturing excellence. The Manu-Tech UniPod is designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical industrial skills, equipping students and young professionals with hands-on experience in cutting-edge manufacturing technologies.
World Bank-backed Training Program
The hub has already kicked off its first cohort of the E4I Academy Training, supported by the World Bank . Participants are being immersed in a transformative curriculum that covers critical areas including Product Design & 3D Printing, Embedded Systems and IoT, CNC and Laser Technology, Robotics and Automation, and Renewable Energy .
