Lagos residents, beware! The Lagos State Government has issued a warning of possible flooding and heavy rainfall across the state. Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, advises residents to prepare for above-normal rainfall, especially in low-lying areas like Agiliti, Agboyi, Itowolo, and Ajegunle ¹.
The rainy season is expected to start late March and last until early December, with an estimated annual rainfall of 1,932 mm. Areas like Ikeja, Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos Island, and Epe are likely to experience significant rainfall ² ¹.
